So What is it This Time?

Kiara sighed when she saw Alexia sitting in the waiting room again. Alexia was a Mercy regular at least four or five times a month, but there was never anything wrong with her. "Miss Lawson, you can come on back with me now." Kiara said.

Alexia nodded and followed her to a room.

Kiara closed the door to the room and pointed to the bed. "So Alexia, what's bothering you now?" Kiara asked

"I've got strep." Alexia said worriedly "I've got strep like everyone else."

"How can you be so sure?" Kiara asked.

"Because my thoats been hurting and my friend got it and i was hanging with her." Alexia answered.

"Alright, well, we'll double check and see if you do," Kiara said.

Alexia nodded "Okay."

Kiara grabbed the thermometer. "Could you open up for me?" she asked.

Alexia nodded and opened her mouth for her.

Kiara smiled and placed the thermometer in her mouth.

Alexia looked around the room as she waited for it to beep.

Kiara took the thermometer when it beeped. "You don't seem to be running a fever," Kiara said.

"But my thoat still hurts." Alexia replied.

Kiara nodded and grabbed her light and a tongue depressor. "Alright Alexis, open wide please," Kiara said. "Say ahhh."

Alex opened her mouth for her and said "Ahhhh."

Kiara examined her carefully and found nothing wrong.

Alexia looked at her "So is it strep?'

"I don't see anything wrong Alexia," Kiara said.

"Oh." Alexia said simply.

"Just like the last time you were here, and the time before that," Kiara said.

Alexia frowned "What are you trying to say?" she asked.

Kiara shook her head. "Nothing Alexia," Kiara said. "I'd like you to come with me."

"Where?" Alexia asked quickly.

"There were a few issues with your bloodwork from last time, I've been asked to take you up to see one of our specialists," Kiara said. She needed to get Alexia to psych.
