I Will Never Let You Fall

Ella peeked her head in. "You alright?"

"I thought i told you i'm fine." Aiden snapped though his voice wasn't as harsh as before.

Alla noticed the difference in his tone. "You sure?"

"Yes i'm sure whats with the third degee?" Aiden asked quickly.

"Just doing my job Aiden," said Ella.

Aiden rolled his eyes again.

Ella sighed and walked down the hall.

Aiden curled up and closed his eyes.

Ella sighed and sat down in the lounge. She had to get Aiden to open up about it.

Aiden soon fell asleep.

Ella sighed. This was her toughest case yet.

~Two weeks later~
Aiden laid on the bed sweating hard as he shivered.

Ella walked into the hospital for the first time in two weeks. She'd needed to take a family medical leave. She knocked lightly on Aiden's door.

Aiden as too out of it to answer.

Ella stepped into the room and hurried over when she saw the condition Aiden was in.

Aiden groaned softly as he laid there.

Ella sighed as one of her colleagues came into the room with a tray of bandaging supplies. "He wouldn't let us change them, wanted you," said the woman. "Aiden..." Ella sighed.

Aiden groaned as he slowly tried to open his eyes.

"It's okay Aiden," Ella said gently, reaching up to stroke his hair out of pure instinct, trying to relax him. "I'm here now." She started working with her free hand to cut away the old bandages. The other doctor in the room decided to try and get a temperature reading on him, even though Ella knew Aiden probably wouldn't cooperate.

Aiden relaxed as she run her fingers though his hair and closed his eyes.

Ella smiled. "That's it Aiden, just relax," she said, working to clean the infected cuts.

Aiden held still as she worked on his wrists.

Ella couldn't help but feel confused as she worked. Aiden confused her. He'd been stand offish with her before, but yet, he wanted her there when she wasn't. It made no sense.

Aiden pushed the thermometer that the nurse held in front of him away.

"Aiden c'mon now," Ella said gently.
